Our Story

1968 , our family opened the first Taco Village Mexican fast food restaurant, located on the southwest side of Chicago. From the beginning, we wanted to share our time-honored family recipes and love of great Mexican food.

Our recipes bring together the best influences of Mexico and the Rio Grande Valley in Texas, giving rise to the delicious and authentic Border flavors everyone recognizes today as Mexican.

We use only the freshest ingredients to prepare our recipes each day. You can taste the Taco Village difference throughout our menu, with our unique salsas, freshly made guacamole, tortilla chips, fresh cheeses, market-fresh tomatillos, and our signature sauces and spices used to prepare all of our Border-inspired food.
